Outback Queensland Cactus Control

Call for applications to receive Herbicide

Landholders and land managers are invited to submit applications to receive herbicide for the treatment of invasive cactus on their properties.

Invasive cacti are a major threat to pastoral production and biodiversity. If left uncontrolled, infestations can quickly grow to impenetrable thickets, removing land from production.

This grant applies to all species of invasive cactus.

Eligibility: All landholders (including local councils) in the Natural Resource Management regions of Desert Channels Queensland, Southern Gulf NRM and South West NRM are eligible to apply.

If you have cactus on your property, we encourage you to apply for herbicide under this project
