Environmental Conservation

Why we do this work

As a custodian of Western Australia’s South West, we are determined to preserve one of the most biologically rich, yet significantly threatened environments on Earth.

Our South West NRM region stretches across 4 million hectares of wildly diverse landscapes and ecosystems – from world-renowned coastlines, to towering old growth forests, internationally-significant wetlands and mighty rivers, inland salt flats and 167 threatened species – we’re committed to nurturing it all for a future in which Our South West thrives.

What we do

Our Environmental Conservation work addresses a triple threat to Our South West’s natural treasures: Climate change, biodiversity loss and ecosystem degradation.

We work in partnership with local Noongar communities, industry, government, and landholders.

Projects, services and programs we undertake relating to Environmental Conservation fall into the below categories.
